  • Screen and prioritize viable points of interconnection and advise on project interconnection viability
  • Secure queue positions and advance applications through utility engagement and the interconnection process
  • Run screening-level power-flow and hosting-capacity analyses on distribution and sub-transmission networks
  • Scope and manage utility or consultant studies
  • Analyze hosting-capacity data, queue data, utility filings, study results, and market dynamics to identify suitable development regions
  • Screen candidate substations, feeders, and line taps; prepare and submit pre-applications and applications
  • Provide interconnection go/no-go recommendations during site due diligence
  • Review and manage interconnection and study agreements, deposits, milestones, and cost responsibility
  • Propose flexible interconnection arrangements, including export or charging limits, curtailment, DC-coupled configurations, and adding storage to queued solar
  • Build and maintain relationships with utility interconnection staff and liaise with utilities and grid operators
  • Build and maintain automated hosting-capacity and queue-data tools, GIS maps, and interconnection inputs for site scorecards and project tracking boards
  • Interpret utility technical studies and advise on project downsizing
  • Establish interconnection cost and timeline benchmarks
  • Assess BESS interconnection requirements and quantify their impact on project business cases
  • Translate interconnection costs, schedules, and design changes into financial-model inputs
