Key responsibilities & impact- Manage and adhere to systems and processes supporting Demand Management for Rigid Paper North America
- Develop a long-term demand plan through the S&OP process
- Support customer teams on short- to mid-term plans
- Create the Consensus Forecast using sales, statistical, and customer forecasts while balancing Sales and Operations interests
- Evaluate and monitor forecast sets and recommend improvements
- Collaborate regularly with Sales to update and optimize the consensus forecast
- Compare targets with actual business results and perform production and sales quantity gap analysis
- Prepare and review demand-related reports, analyses, and KPIs
- Understand customer financial expectations in revenue and units and communicate gaps
- Improve demand planning metrics, including forecast accuracy and bias, through repeatable processes
- Demonstrate the business impact of demand planning improvements
- Identify and develop strategies and best practices to drive and sustain improvement
- Support quarterly financial forecasting and annual budget generation
- Coordinate with Finance on cross-plant revenue planning
- Become a business expert in the corporate Demand Planning software
- Maintain correct data across critical sources
- Evaluate and optimize forecast parameters and statistical forecast models
- Implement and adopt software-based KPI generation
- Collaborate with Global IT to sustain and optimize the forecasting system
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree – BS/BA in Business, Finance, Marketing Supply Chain, Logistics is preferred with 1-2 years of Demand Planning experience or 5+ years of experience in Demand Planning in a fast-paced manufacturing organization
- Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills
- Assertive, collaborative, and results oriented
- Success in working in a matrix environment
- Track record of cross-functional interaction preferred
- Strong working knowledge of systems (Oracle, Logility, Excel, Access, etc.)
- Ability to travel as needed to support business needs
- Demand Planning/ Statistical Forecasting Experience (Preferred)
- Experience with Sales & Operations Planning is strongly desired (Preferred)
- Financial acumen coupled with effective inter-personal style (Preferred)
- Some travel required, with most being local; visits to the corporate office in Hartsville, SC may be required
