Key responsibilities & impact- Protect T-Mobile’s cloud environments across AWS, Azure, and GCP by building secure, scalable infrastructure with embedded security controls and standards
- Support cloud security projects across T-Mobile’s cloud environments
- Develop and improve Python, Terraform, or similar scripts to automate security tasks and reduce manual processes
- Monitor cloud environments, review security findings, and identify vulnerabilities or misconfigurations
- Track security risks, investigate findings, and support remediation solutions
- Assist with cloud security controls, compliance reporting, documentation, and audit readiness
- Collaborate with Cloud Engineering and Cybersecurity teams to improve security processes, automation, and overall cloud security posture
- Participate in an 11-week paid internship with hands-on projects, training, mentorship, and cross-team relationship building
Requirements
What you’ll need- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
- Basic understanding of AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Familiarity with Python or similar programming/scripting languages
- Foundational knowledge of cybersecurity, networking, Linux, or cloud infrastructure
- Strong problem-solving, analytical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills
- Eagerness to learn new technologies and take initiative
- At least 18 years of age
- Legally authorized to work in the United States now and in the future
- Must have one or more courses remaining in a Bachelor's or Graduate degree program after the internship
- Exposure to Git, Terraform, or automation tools is a plus
- Cloud or cybersecurity certifications, academic projects, or hands-on labs are a plus but not required
- Employees of T-Mobile or Metro by T-Mobile are ineligible for external Summer Internships
