About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform external audit and assurance engagements for Asset & Wealth Management clients
- Apply U.S. GAAP, U.S. GAAS, and PCAOB standards throughout audit engagements
- Analyze accounting, financial reporting, and industry-specific issues
- Work as both a team member and leader throughout client engagements
- Manage multiple priorities, client expectations, and differing viewpoints
- Communicate with clients and internal team members to address questions and resolve issues
- Identify process improvements and add value to client engagements
- Use technology, automation, and digital tools to improve audit efficiency
- Work with large and complex data sets and use data visualization tools to identify and communicate insights
- Stay current on industry trends, accounting developments, and emerging technologies
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Accounting
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience
- Strong external audit experience required
- Direct audit experience within Asset & Wealth Management (AWM) required
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAS
- Strong understanding of PCAOB standards
- Experience with technical accounting and financial reporting
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, client-facing professional services environment
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and relationship-management skills
- CPA preferred
- Previous experience working for a Big Four accounting firm or comparable large public accounting environment preferred
- Experience with automation, digitization, data analytics, or data visualization tools preferred
