Key responsibilities & impact- Own the inventory flow strategy for Sam’s Club’s Fresh business
- Serve as the primary flow strategy partner to Fresh Merchandising leaders
- Identify cost, speed, and availability opportunities
- Build analytics and business cases to unlock opportunities
- Drive execution across Merchandising, Supply Chain, Transportation, Replenishment, and Sourcing partners across Sam’s Club and Walmart
- Build and own the Fresh strategy and roadmap, including pain points, value opportunities, priorities, and success measures
- Establish a consistent engagement cadence with Fresh Merchandising leaders
- Bring insights, trade-offs, and recommendations to support fast decision-making
- Optimize end-to-end flow and network decisions
- Own freight factor and supply chain cost analytics
- Define, track, and report business KPIs
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or related field and 4 years’ experience in logistics, distribution, transportation, or related area OR 6 years’ experience in logistics, distribution, transportation, or related area
- 2 years’ experience with advanced functionality of Microsoft Office
- Experience with transportation, network and flow design, distribution, or inventory management
- Strong analytical skills
- Comfortable with Excel, SQL, and BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau
- Ability to build cost models and business cases
- Ability to build trust with Merchants and cross-functional partners
- Executive communication skills
- Ability to turn complex trade-offs into clear stories and recommendations
- Ability to run multiple initiatives end-to-end with clear plans, owners, and timelines
- Preferred: Dispatch, Fleet Management, Network Analysis, Retail Logistics Operations
- Preferred: Masters in Business, Logistics, or Supply Chain
- Preferred: Project Management Professional certification or Six Sigma certification
