Key responsibilities & impact- Support New Product Development by ensuring material costs are accurately tracked, controlled, and aligned to target
- Work closely with Procurement and Commercial teams
- Provide cost insight supporting tendering, cost of production, and business decision-making
- Analyse Bills of Materials
- Monitor cost movements
- Produce reporting highlighting risks, trends, and opportunities to improve cost performance across projects
- Identify trends and investigate performance issues
- Produce meaningful insights
- Use data to support business decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements
What you’ll need- Demonstrable experience in a commercial, finance, procurement, supply chain or manufacturing environment
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to work confidently with data
- Experience in procurement, product costing, cost analysis, variance analysis, budgeting, financial reporting, statistical analysis and interpretation of complex datasets is highly desirable
- Experience with ERP systems such as Syspro is a bonus
- Knowledge of business intelligence tools such as Qlik is a bonus
- A degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related discipline is a bonus
- Experience within automotive, bus & coach, or complex manufacturing environments is a bonus
