About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform concrete and compaction testing on commercial construction projects
- Prepare daily reports on testing and daily activities
- Report observations and test data with accuracy and completeness
- Communicate test results with project leads and site superintendents/foremen
- Work with project engineers and clients to ensure client specifications are followed
- Travel to Wind and Solar Farms and other remote projects
- Perform routine inspections and testing of construction materials in the field to verify conformance to construction plans, contract documents, and project specifications
- Work overtime, weekends, and outdoors in varying weather conditions
Requirements
What you’ll need- A valid driver's license and a good driving history required
- Ability to travel extensively and work at remote project sites throughout the US
- Willingness to work long hours and weekends as required
- Previous materials testing experience preferred
- Technical expertise in electronic field data collection
- Able to interpret plans and specifications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in MS Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- iPad experience a plus
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 1-3 years of construction materials testing experience
- ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician Grade I certification required
- Pre-employment drug screen test required
- Criminal background check required
- Motor vehicle report required
