About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform routine preventive maintenance on facilities, equipment, and fixtures
- Inspect, clean, repair, and document facilities, equipment, and fixtures
- Gather capital expense information and recommend repairs or replacements
- Manage work orders, maintenance schedules, contractors, written records, and electronic documentation
- Compare parts and travel-related costs; order parts and replacement equipment; track orders and usage
- Submit warranty claims and maintenance invoices; verify vehicle insurance coverage
- Ensure work and contractors comply with Walmart standards and federal, state, and local regulations
- Unload, store, and transport equipment between facilities
- Maintain company vehicles and coordinate required vehicle maintenance
- Safely operate, inspect, and maneuver forklifts, material handling equipment, industrial machines, shop equipment, and vehicles
- Perform pre-operation and post-operation safety inspections and correct or escalate hazards
- Lead and participate in teams, coordinate work assignments, and support timelines and work quality
- Develop, communicate, and implement processes and practices to meet business needs
- Promote company policies, ethics, integrity, and compliance standards
- Wear the required company uniform and badge
Requirements
What you’ll need- Vocational or technical certification and 2 years' experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area; or 4 years' experience in these areas
- Valid state-issued driver's license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report
- Commercial driving record with no DUI, DWI, or OUI convictions within the last five years
- Commercial driving record with no more than two moving violations in the last three years
- No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three years
- No serious traffic violations, as defined by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three years
- Ability to operate heavy machinery and powered equipment in accordance with training, certification, and safety requirements
