About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support Commercial and Delivery Teams while developing skills toward becoming a fully qualified Quantity Surveyor
- Assist in reviewing and understanding client contracts, including identifying commercial risks and opportunities
- Support preparation of monthly commercial reports
- Help manage project invoicing and prepare applications for payment
- Contribute to change control by tracking and valuing variations
- Monitor project costs, budgets, and forecasts with Delivery Teams
- Assist with setting up client contracts and subcontract agreements
- Support procurement activities, including tender reviews and subcontractor comparisons
- Learn to ensure compliance with contractual obligations, company procedures, and relevant legislation
- Contribute ideas to improve commercial processes, reporting tools, and ways of working
- Understand how health, safety, and sustainability considerations influence commercial decisions
- Travel to client sites, offices, and study locations as required
Requirements
What you’ll need- Confidence using Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Good communication and willingness to work with a range of internal and external stakeholders
- A proactive attitude, eagerness to learn, and ability to manage deadlines
- Full UK driving license and own transport
- Currently studying for, or willingness to start studying for, a Quantity Surveying or related degree
