Key responsibilities & impact- Build and maintain APIs enabling secure and efficient data exchange between systems
- Develop and support server-side logic, services, and data structures
- Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with backend systems
- Understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Participate in the design, testing, and deployment of new features with guidance from senior team members

- Perform unit and integration testing
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including specifications, diagrams, and implementation details

Requirements
What you’ll need- 2 years of relevant experience required
- Bachelor's degree required; a combination of relevant experience, education, and training may be accepted in lieu of a degree
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field preferred
- Experience with backend programming languages such as Python, Java, C#, or Node.js preferred
- Foundational experience with server-side languages such as Java, Python, Ruby, PHP, or Node.js
- Basic understanding of SQL and NoSQL database technologies, including MySQL and MongoDB
- Familiarity with data querying and data structures
- Familiarity with Git for source control, branching, merging, and collaborative code management
- Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Ability to travel less than 10%
