About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Study company standards, project systems, and document control policies
- Use the company Quality Program to ensure work accuracy and compliance
- Design and create project deliverables, including drawings, models, and plans, based on instructions and design inputs
- Perform dimensional checks to verify design accuracy
- Estimate required project materials
- Coordinate tasks among teams working on the same project
- Improve design methods, guides, and standards
- Support internal team members while learning how external clients operate
- Provide technical guidance to other designers and drafters as appropriate
Requirements
What you’ll need- 2+ years of direct experience in professional drafting services, with a preference in the electric utility industry
- Proficient in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Revit
- Ability to create, develop, and modify technical drawings and models from initial design inputs
- Associate's degree or better in Drafting & Design preferred
- Technical/other training or better in Equivalent Experience
