About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Report to the Plant Manager
- Direct and organize plant maintenance according to dispatch requirements, applicable laws, established procedures, and safety priorities
- Maximize plant performance and availability while providing high-quality service to the client
- Drive continuous improvement
- Plan strategic maintenance activities
- Respond to maintenance issues in a timely and real-time manner
- Manage maintenance tasks according to safety, environmental, and quality standards
- Assume PEI responsibilities, including serving on the Advisory Committee or as Alternate Emergency Chief during emergencies
- Communicate with the Plant Manager through daily meetings and reports
- Review and approve maintenance procedures and instructions
- Participate in hiring maintenance staff
- Supervise daily, monthly, startup, shutdown, and incident reports
- Establish and ensure compliance with the Work Permit System (BFS)
- Attend plant Safety and MA rounds
- Participate in management and HSE incident/accident investigations and monitor follow-up
- Act as an emergency Advisory Committee member or replace emergency team members as defined in the PET
- Organize and coordinate technical and security training
- Communicate Management System requirements
- Promote continuous improvement by leading RCA activities, knowledge sharing, learning, and action-plan execution
- Maintain quality, safety, and MA systems according to applicable ISO standards
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role, in CHP or CSP power plants environment
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering / science-based discipline
- Experienced manager of people in both direct and indirect situations
- Excellent delegation and team leading skills
- Fluent Spanish & English
- Demonstrable experience of influencing & motivating personnel on Safety matters
- Confident written, verbal, and presentation communication
- Excellent analytical skills
- Leadership ability and strong management skills
- Technical excellence
