About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own the analysis and monitoring of Data Center operating expenses, commitments, and spend trends
- Perform variance analysis between actuals, forecasts, and budgets
- Investigate financial discrepancies and spending anomalies and provide recommendations
- Use advanced Excel modeling and data analysis to deliver financial insights
- Analyze historical spending patterns and operational drivers to improve forecasting accuracy
- Coordinate and consolidate budget and forecast submissions
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual planning cycles
- Develop financial projections and identify cost-saving opportunities
- Monitor budget performance and advise business partners on spending commitments and targets
- Produce financial reports, expense summaries, commitment tracking, and KPI dashboards
- Support month-end close, including accrual calculations, variance commentary, and financial reporting
- Ensure data accuracy and compliance with financial policies and internal controls
- Create and manage purchase requisitions and purchase orders
- Review purchase commitment financial impacts and budget alignment
- Partner with vendors, Accounts Payable, and internal stakeholders to resolve invoice, receipting, and PO issues
- Identify and implement improvements to financial processes, reporting, forecasting, and operational efficiency
- Leverage data analysis to solve moderately complex financial challenges and support business decisions
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of experience in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, expense management, or operational finance
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, complex formulas, financial models, and large dataset analysis
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience supporting month-end close, accrual processes, variance analysis, and financial reporting
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and methodical approach to financial management and data integrity
