Key responsibilities & impact- Support revenue accounting operations, financial reporting, and close processes.
- Prepare revenue-related journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules during month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close.
- Perform tie-outs, variance analysis, reasonableness checks, and independent validation of outputs.
- Complete close deliverables according to the close calendar and maintain audit-ready documentation.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate reconciling items, inconsistencies, and root causes.
- Ensure compliance with SOX controls and prepare control evidence and documentation.
- Improve and standardize accounting processes, controls, and documentation.
- Extract, validate, and manipulate large datasets from ERP, Tableau, Snowflake, and other systems.
- Support system implementations, testing, workflow improvements, automation, and data-flow integration.
- Analyze datasets, develop dashboards and reporting tools, and standardize metrics and definitions.
- Support internal and external audits and maintain compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements.
- Drive process improvements and responsible use of AI to streamline workflows and reduce manual effort.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 3–5+ years of experience in revenue accounting, financial analysis, or related field.
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and revenue accounting principles.
- Experience with month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools; familiarity with ERP and reporting systems.
- Exposure to or experience with AI tools, including effective prompt development and agent-based workflows, automate processes and improve analytical efficiency; ability to validate AI-assisted outputs is preferred.
- Strong analytical mindset with ability to interpret complex data.
- Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment.
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Experience in SOX environment and audit support preferred.
