Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and execute commercial supply plans for small molecule and biologics products
- Partner with regional commercial supply chain leads to incorporate demand trends, market dynamics, promotional activities, and product lifecycle events into global supply plans
- Integrate supply plans across API, Drug Substance, Drug Product, and Finished Goods
- Facilitate demand-supply alignment sessions and reconcile forecast discrepancies
- Review master data, product setups, effective dates, supply plans, inventory health, change analyses, shipping quantities, and lot-level restrictions
- Use SAP ERP and Kinaxis Rapid Response to build, monitor, and scenario-test supply plans
- Manage demand changes, supply constraints, expiry risk, shelf-life tradeoffs, production timing, inventory positioning, and allocation decisions
- Align production schedules and batch strategies with internal and external manufacturing sites
- Optimize global inventory positioning and support allocation decisions during constrained supply
- Partner with Commercial Operations, Quality, Manufacturing, and Finance
- Maintain visibility into supply status, risks, and escalations
- Support change management initiatives resulting from commercial or regulatory changes
- Track and report supply planning metrics, inventory levels, and service performance
- Provide updates and escalations to leadership and stakeholders
- Lead, supervise, train, and manage department personnel
- Develop supplier, subcontractor, and vendor agreements; negotiate contracts and drive cost savings
- Conduct formal business reviews with key suppliers and manage contract performance
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's Degree and ten years' experience OR Master's Degree and eight years' experience OR PhD/PharmD and five years' experience
- Experience in pharmaceutical operations/cGMP environment
- Experience purchasing custom chemicals
- Experience planning pharmaceutical development activities
- Experience managing third-party synthesis of intermediates/Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients
- In-depth understanding of pharmaceutical GMPs and ICH Q7A
- Knowledge of Supply Chain practices and operations
- Understanding of financial aspects of Supply Chain operations
- Ability to use SAP ERP and Kinaxis Rapid Response
- Ability to develop and implement Supply Chain policies, procedures, strategies, and goals
- Ability to manage suppliers, subcontractors, vendors, contracts, and outsourced manufacturing activities
- Ability to coordinate multiple production schedules
- Ability to provide leadership, supervision, training, guidance, and performance management to department personnel
