Key responsibilities & impact- Integrate, deploy, test, and scale machine learning models, including large language, computer vision, and predictive models, within production-oriented AI pipelines
- Profile latency, memory usage, throughput, and computational footprint
- Optimize AI inference workflows for edge devices or cloud infrastructure
- Design and implement maintainable software components and APIs
- Use modern AI-assisted development tools for prototyping, testing, debugging, and code review
- Follow team engineering practices
- Own technical documentation for engineering designs, experiment configurations, performance benchmarks, software interfaces, and API architectures
- Communicate results and trade-offs to cross-functional software, machine learning, and hardware architecture teams
- Perform activities safely and responsibly and support Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs
Requirements
What you’ll need- Graduating with a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, or a related field from an accredited degree program
- Overall GPA of at least 3.0 and proven good academic standing
- Experience with at least one major machine learning framework, such as PyTorch or TensorFlow
- Strong object-oriented programming fundamentals
- Experience with software version control using GitLab, GitHub, or related tools
- Ability to navigate ambiguous technical problems
- Ability to learn new tools quickly
- Ability to communicate technical trade-offs effectively
- English fluency, written and verbal
- Prior related internship or co-op experience
- Demonstrated prior leadership experience in workplace, school projects, competitions, or similar settings
- Strong interest in leveraging AI tools and emerging technologies
- Project management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong planning and organizational skills
- Familiarity with low-level, high-performance programming, such as kernel optimization, systems programming, or hardware accelerators
- Exposure to cloud systems such as AWS
- Participation in AI/ML hackathons, open-source projects, or university research labs
