About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist in conducting intakes after patients have undergone an extensive counselor evaluation
- Monitor patients’ clinical progress during regular group counseling sessions
- Answer patient questions and manage medication dosing
- Authorize patients’ prescriptions during monthly visits with patient panels
- Complete all notes and reporting in the Groups EMR system within the required timeline
- Focus on medical management while strict protocols and the team-based clinical system support day-to-day patient management and regulatory compliance
Requirements
What you’ll need- Active, unencumbered state license (MD/DO) in the state in which applying
- Active, individual DEA with address listed in the state in which applying
- DEAX designation formerly required to prescribe Buprenorphine or proof of 8 hours of qualified training as assigned by SAMHSA
- Minimum 1 year actively prescribing Buprenorphine
- Proof of active board certification (MD or DO; any specialty)
- Ability to work in-office at least 5 hours per week
- Eligibility for hours commences approximately 3 months after initiation of credentialing and training
