Key responsibilities & impact- Implement and evolve Artificial Intelligence applications, chains, and agents, focusing on reusable, testable, and secure automations
- Build knowledge ingestion and retrieval pipelines, defining parsing, chunking, metadata, embeddings, hybrid search, reranking, and access controls
- Develop evaluation sets, validation mechanisms, and guardrails to ensure quality, traceability, and compliance before production
- Identify and mitigate risks such as prompt injection, information leakage, toxicity, hallucinations, and other generative AI vulnerabilities
- Instrument and operate AI workflows with observability, monitoring, alerts, and performance indicators
- Ensure the quality, availability, latency, and cost control of solutions
- Develop and provide SDKs, templates, examples, and technical documentation
- Support Digital, IT, Engineering, Data, AI, and Corporate squads in discovering, prototyping, integrating, and adopting AI capabilities
- Collaborate with Architecture, Data, Security, and Development teams to evolve AI capabilities, ensuring scalability, governance, and alignment with corporate standards
Requirements
What you’ll need- Reside in São Paulo
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, and/or related fields
- Experience in software, data, or Machine Learning engineering, with hands-on experience in Generative Artificial Intelligence
- Experience with Python, APIs, asynchronous services, SQL and NoSQL databases, queues, caching, and automated testing
- Experience with LLM-based applications, RAG, embeddings, agents, tool/function calling, and structured outputs
- Knowledge of experimentation, model evaluation, error analysis, prompt optimization, latency, cost, and quality
- Experience with observability for AI solutions, including logs, metrics, traces, alerts, and incident handling
- Knowledge of LangGraph, LangChain, LiteLLM, LangFuse, DeepEval, Guardrails, RAGAS, or equivalent technologies
- Knowledge of MCP (Model Context Protocol)
- Knowledge of vector databases, hybrid search, reranking, and information retrieval
- Knowledge of PostgreSQL, Redis, Kafka, and integration with external services
- Knowledge of FastAPI, Pydantic, AsyncIO, REST APIs, and event-driven architecture
- Knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD, and GitOps
- Knowledge of OpenTelemetry and observability applied to AI
- Knowledge of AI security, including OWASP LLM, protection against prompt injection, data leakage, governance, and access management
- Intermediate English proficiency for reading technical documentation, conducting research, and interacting with vendors
- Postgraduate studies or a master’s degree in related fields, additional training, further experience, and advanced Spanish are desirable but not required
