Key responsibilities & impact- Provide Salesforce architecture and design guidance to business, risk, and technology partners
- Ensure Salesforce platform-based solutions meet functional, performance, and security requirements
- Design complex solutions within the Salesforce ecosystem and integrations with company and vendor systems
- Develop, maintain, and communicate platform architectural target and interim states
- Communicate and govern architectural trends and best practices
- Formulate solutions through peer-to-peer Architect collaboration
- Participate in team design reviews
- Serve as a voting member of the COE Architecture Review Board
- Conduct product and solution evaluations using prototypes and proofs of concept
- Evaluate Salesforce capabilities and third-party vendor offerings
- Mentor technical delivery staff
- Serve as a trusted technical advisor to Salesforce COE service delivery leaders, technical delivery teams, peer architects, and enterprise partners
- Work under the guidance of a Chief Architect
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field
- Minimum 4 years’ experience architecting enterprise Salesforce implementations including Sales, Service, Financial Services, and Marketing Clouds
- Minimum 7 years of progressively responsible technical and business work experience developing enterprise-level applications
- Minimum 5 years of Salesforce.com full-stack development experience
- Salesforce Data Model knowledge and strong data modeling experience
- Familiarity with Salesforce platform security patterns and implementation in a full-stack environment
- Familiarity with enterprise communication patterns including events, services, and bulk data movement
- Ability to define current and target state architecture and the roadmap to achieve target state
- Strong problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Preferred: Salesforce certifications including Administrator, Platform Developer, Sales Cloud Consultant, Service Cloud Consultant, Data Architect, Application Architect, Integration Architect, System Architect, or Technical Architect
- Salesforce Financial Services Cloud experience highly preferred
- Salesforce DataCloud experience preferred
- Experience with Salesforce DevOps toolsets or Enterprise equivalent, or Sharing and Visibility Architect certification
- Salesforce managed package evaluation, deployment, and upgrade experience highly preferred
- Experience working with ETL tools and system integrations, or Integration Architect certification
