Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the design and specification of large, complex architectures, solutions, and infrastructure elements for the enterprise Chat Platform
- Focus on new feature delivery, high platform availability, low latency, and long-term scalability
- Drive application of cloud-native technologies including GCP services, TypeScript, Node.js, Dialogflow, and GECX
- Make strategic technical decisions for initiatives such as IVA Voice, AI Agents, and Genesys contact center integrations
- Provide technical advice, coaching, and mentorship to engineers, developers, and team members
- Lead resolution of complex architectural and technical challenges
- Initiate and lead improvement programs to enhance system reliability and performance
- Establish, clarify, and communicate functional and non-functional requirements
- Bridge technical and non-technical stakeholder groups
- Evaluate emerging AI/ML, cloud infrastructure, and conversational interface technologies
- Align technical roadmaps with business strategy
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a closely related discipline
- Minimum 5+ years of experience working in an IT discipline (software engineering, system architecture, or cloud infrastructure)
- Minimum 5+ years of experience partnering with business disciplines to translate business capabilities into technical requirements
- Hands-on experience architecting and implementing Conversational AI platforms, particularly within Google Cloud's ecosystem (Dialogflow, GECX, AI Agents) (preferred)
- Experience integrating chat platforms with enterprise contact center solutions such as Genesys (preferred)
- Health Insurance or regulated industry business knowledge (preferred)
- Expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, Firestore, and BigQuery
- Knowledge of cloud-native architecture and Terraform / Infrastructure as Code
- Experience with Gemini Enterprise for Customer Experience (GECX), Google Dialogflow, AI Agents, IVA Voice, and Genesys integration
- Proficiency in TypeScript, Node.js, WebSockets, and distributed systems design
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and observability, monitoring, and logging strategies
- Knowledge of high-throughput/low-latency system design, application security, and authentication patterns
- Preferred certifications: Google Cloud Architect Certification, Enterprise Architect (SCEA), and Project Management / Agile Certifications
