About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as the internal point of contact for all projects
- Partner operationally with the account team and liaise with strategic services, creative services, technology services, operations, accounting, and administration
- Oversee and manage end-to-end project development according to established business processes
- Lead projects independently and potentially with assistance from an Assistant Project Manager
- Lead complex projects and manage a larger book of business
- Make decisions regarding project processes, timelines, budgets, and resources
- Prepare med/legal submissions according to client guidelines
- Conduct internal quality checks before delivery to the Account Team
- Create project status documents for internal and external updates
- Lead daily and weekly production meetings
- Maintain project management systems of record, including FinancialForce, Ziflow, and CRM
- Lead process improvement initiatives
- Create project milestones and detailed schedules and ensure deliverables are met
- Develop staffing plans and monitor project and campaign budgets
- Lead monthly reconciliation meetings and create client budget reports with finance assistance
- Identify and mitigate project risks
- Manage vendor and agency partner relationships
- Coordinate internal and external resources with the resourcing manager and other project managers
- Review monthly staffing projections
- Present capabilities and processes internally and externally
- Build rapport with development teams, vendors, agency partners, and clients as needed
- Support training of Assistant Project Managers
- Manage an Assistant Project Manager, including bi-weekly one-to-one meetings
Requirements
What you’ll need- 4+ years of experience
- Pharmaceutical marketing agency experience required
- AOR experience preferred
- Bachelor's degree (BA)
- Experience managing large cross-functional teams including account services, creative, strategist, database, interactive, and print production
- Experience working with multiple vendors, managing their timelines and needs
- Experience using MS Project or SmartSheets
- Advanced experience using a Project Management financial platform
- Excellent Excel skills
- Experience leading process improvement efforts
- Excellent written and verbal skills
