About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Overall responsibility for planning, managing, and successfully delivering complex national and international projects focused on IT systems for intralogistics and automation
- Conduct implementation workshops to ensure the effective integration of software, IT architecture, operational processes, and automation solutions within the customer environment
- Lead and coordinate an interdisciplinary, international, and geographically distributed project team within the KION Group
- Overall technical and commercial responsibility, including management of project scope, budget, costs, schedules, and risks
- Serve as the central interface and primary contact for customers as well as internal and external stakeholders; provide regular project status reports
- Coordinate technical requirements and specifications with customers, suppliers, and contractual partners
- Define the necessary interfaces between IT systems and ensure compliance with contractual obligations
- Proactively plan milestones, project activities, and change requests, and initiate corrective measures
- Ensure quality assurance, quality control, and compliance processes throughout the entire project lifecycle
- Support the supplier selection and procurement process
- Advise national and international customers on the planning and optimization of complex intralogistics software and automation solutions
- Plan and monitor the commissioning of software systems and equipment at the end customer’s site through successful completion
Requirements
What you’ll need- University degree in business informatics, computer science, engineering, logistics, or a comparable qualification
- Several years of relevant professional experience
- Experience in project management and leading technical project teams
- Technical expertise in WMS software, intralogistics systems, or automation
- Proficiency in project management methodologies, such as agile or hybrid project methods
- Proficiency with project management tools, such as MS Project
- Very good written and spoken English skills, at least C1 level
- Structured, analytical, and solution-oriented approach to work
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, assertiveness, and conflict-resolution capabilities
- Experience in change management
- Resilience and flexibility in a dynamic project environment
- Willingness to travel internationally for business (EMEA and worldwide)
- Responsibility for safety, health, and environmental protection in accordance with company policies
