About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage a portfolio of large turnkey packaging-industry projects in the Krones North America region, including multiple filling, packaging, and process technology product lines
- Direct, coordinate, and support project activities through planning, execution, and acceptance phases
- Lead interdisciplinary project teams and oversee engineering and execution strategies, resource planning, manufacturing clarification, procurement, project execution, and closeout
- Support sales project management, line solutions, and service management colleagues with technical, timeline, and commercial quotation aspects
- Conduct periodic on-site project management and milestone visits
- Consult customers and handle claims, incidents, nonconformities, and escalations related to contract deviations
- Control project schedules, budgets, quality, and risk assessments
- Present service quotations, claims management, and representative project reports to stakeholders and management
- Lead project preparation, clarification, lessons learned, and closeout feedback
- Prepare and deliver formal presentations, written proposals, execution plans, and bid packages
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in an industry-related field or equivalent experience gained through extensive training or previous on-the-job site management experience
- At least 3–5 years' experience in the packaging industry
- Strong technical background
- Knowledge of Krones packaging equipment
- Strong decision-making ability to assess and analyze project situations
- Computer abilities
- Experience with project scheduling software; MS Project preferred
- Experience with spreadsheet software in a Microsoft Windows environment
- Ability to perform technical, involved work requiring judgment and independent thinking
- Substantial interpersonal interaction skills
- Good organization skills preferred
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 100% of the time, project dependent
