About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Build and automate the defined engineering and AI platform architecture for LEAP's LegalTech applications
- Build shared services including deployment pipelines, environments, secrets management, an LLM gateway, and observability
- Design and maintain a secure, compliant paved road for application development and release
- Own, document, and evolve architecture decisions
- Implement automated CI/CD release gates for security scanning, SBOMs, and policy-as-code
- Automate evidence collection and flag failing or stale release-readiness evidence
- Build dashboards showing the security, AI, quality, and compliance state of applications
- Develop AI agents and bots for code and security review, release-readiness checks, documentation, and developer self-service
- Build AI governance covering usage, purpose, and cost across products and internal use
- Route model usage through a governed LLM gateway with allow-listing, cost attribution, and telemetry
- Drive adoption of AI coding tools and agents across engineering and the wider business
- Build integrations connecting product teams with platform APIs, internal services, and external AI providers
- Work with product, security, DevOps, legal, quality, and product leadership to establish standards and working systems
- Drive framework adoption across application teams and the broader business
- Run workshops, write documentation, and enable teams through influence
Requirements
What you’ll need- Engineering experience with an architect's mindset and hands-on delivery approach
- Ability to design and build shared platform services, including CI/CD pipelines, environments, secrets management, LLM gateways, and observability
- Experience with automated security scanning, including SAST, dependency scanning, secrets scanning, and IaC scanning
- Experience with SBOMs, policy-as-code, automated release gates, and evidence collection
- Experience building dashboards and managing releases by exception
- Experience building AI agents, bots, automated code and security review, release-readiness checks, documentation, and developer self-service tools
- Knowledge of AI governance, model allow-listing, cost attribution, usage telemetry, and governed LLM gateways
- Experience integrating platform APIs, internal services, and external AI providers
- Ability to make architecture decisions, document them clearly, and evolve architecture as the business grows
- Ability to collaborate across product, security, DevOps, legal, quality, and leadership teams
- Ability to drive adoption through workshops, documentation, enablement, and influence
- Strong communication skills with engineers and executives
- Security-minded approach to building controls into systems
- Regular use of AI tools and strong judgment on effective, cost-efficient AI usage
