About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead Field Service activities in operating environments at depots, training sites, and customer field operations, including training, operation, and repair
- Apply expert-level skills across military and commercial field assignments
- Represent the company on field service technical, contractual, and business issues
- Advise upper management and customers on sensitive or highly technical issues
- Determine solutions to complex technical problems and advise others
- Mentor the Field Service community and less experienced engineers
- Solve difficult technical problems and evaluate solutions to prevent recurrence
- Interface with Engineering departments on technical paths forward
- Participate in technical reviews and help define new designs and procedures
- Work at remote locations without direct supervision
- Lead technical groups independently and direct assigned personnel
- Manage budget, cost, and schedule input for design assignments
- Communicate with company personnel and customers
- Participate in proposal preparation
- Provide higher-level technical assistance to engineers and support personnel
- Attend customer and business meetings, build positive relationships, and respond to stakeholder needs
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field
- Minimum of 8 years of experience
- Mastery in technologies and application domain
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Active DOD security clearance or ability to obtain such clearance within a reasonable time after commencement of employment
