About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Maintain and service fuel cells at customer sites
- Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and evaluations to maintain the fleet at a specific location
- Perform specialized service procedures, including field retrofits and software and hardware upgrades to existing fuel cells
- Provide emergency support service to customers as required
- Purchase tools, equipment, and parts for customer service and support as required
- Troubleshoot and maintain high-pressure hydrogen storage, delivery, and fueling systems as needed
- Maintain ongoing communication with customer personnel and hydrogen suppliers regarding aftermarket fuel cell support
- Provide regular feedback to regional service representatives regarding fuel cell performance and field maintenance issues
- Complete administrative duties and documentation, including incident reports, service logs, inventory maintenance, and site and system documentation
- Exhibit and enforce safety procedures in the field or at customer sites
- Drive for company business needs as required, safely and in accordance with traffic laws
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent with technical electrical coursework
- Three or more years direct experience in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting; formal training and education may be considered in lieu of direct experience
- Valid driver license, clean driving record, and ability to safely operate a motor vehicle
- Electrical troubleshooting skills
- Ability to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis unassisted
- Mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills
- Knowledge of lift truck operation and applications
- General mechanical aptitude
- Computer software skills: Windows, internet, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Clear, precise written communication
- Creativity in solving technical problems
- Ability to work independently
- Good time management skills and ability to handle multiple tasks
- Punctual and reliable
