Key responsibilities & impact- Perform inspections on various facilities in the Oil and Gas Industry to identify and quantify hydrocarbon gas leaks and vents at offshore facilities
- Assist in coordinating and navigating to various facilities using maps and GPS
- Help calibrate and maintain equipment
- Use detection and measurement technologies under Team Lead supervision
- Collect and record emission data
- Prepare field reports as required
- Participate in required safety training and assist with safety procedures, including first aid, CPR, fire drills, and emergency evacuations
- Perform job duties onshore and/or offshore using company vehicle, helicopter, and/or boat as required
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience in Oil and Gas industry (preference given to candidates with natural gas processing/transmission facility experience)
- Effective computer skills, including Excel and Microsoft Office
- Proficiency with Android OS
- Experience leading a team preferred/required, depending on the position
- Must be able to communicate clearly and precisely
- Valid driver's license
- Must be willing and able to work on ocean/offshore sites for periods of up to 2–3 weeks at a time
- Must be clean-shaven where required for safety/PPE purposes
- Must successfully complete swing-rope certification
- Must participate in required safety training and assist with safety procedures, including first aid, CPR, fire drills, and emergency evacuations
- Must be able to perform duties onshore and/or offshore, including transportation by company vehicle, helicopter, and/or boat
- Must be able to work safely in extreme environments, including cold, heat, wind, rain, and open-ocean conditions
- Must be able to safely ascend and descend structures up to approximately 200 feet and remain physically capable after climbing
- Ability to perform significant physical exertion, including climbing stairs and ladders, carrying heavy equipment, working at heights, and potentially working in confined spaces
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
- Associate or bachelor's degree in engineering technology or an applicable technical degree/diploma preferred, but not required
- Related work experience in hydrocarbon detection and measurement, LDAR, offshore work, instrumentation, stack emission testing, or a mechanical background preferred, but not required
