Key responsibilities & impact- Perform inspections at various Oil and Gas Industry facilities to identify and quantify hydrocarbon gas leaks and vents
- Coordinate and navigate to facilities using maps and GPS
- Perform and document field inspections as a team leader and/or independently, accurately, safely, and efficiently
- Assist in safety meetings and lead the safety culture
- Calibrate and maintain equipment
- Use detection and measurement technologies under Team Lead supervision
- Collect and record emission data
- Prepare field reports as required
- Participate in required safety training and assist with safety procedures, including first aid, CPR, fire drills, and emergency evacuations
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience in Oil and Gas industry; preference given to candidates with natural gas processing/transmission facility experience
- Effective computer skills; Excel and Microsoft Office are essential
- Proficiency with Android OS
- Experience leading a team preferred/required, depending on the position
- Ability to communicate clearly and precisely
- Offshore and/or military experience is a plus
- Valid driver's license
- Associate or bachelor's degree in engineering technology or applicable technical degree/diploma preferred, but not required
- Related work experience in hydrocarbon detection and measurement, LDAR, Offshore, instrumentation, stack emission testing, or a mechanical background preferred, but not required
- Willingness and ability to work on ocean/offshore sites for periods of up to 2–3 weeks at a time
- Must be clean-shaven where required for safety/PPE purposes
- Ability to successfully complete swing-rope certification, including safely supporting and controlling loads equivalent to approximately 2–3 times the individual’s body weight
- Ability to perform duties onshore and/or offshore, including transportation by company vehicle, helicopter, and/or boat
- Ability to work safely in extreme environments, including cold, heat, wind, rain, and open-ocean conditions
- Ability to safely ascend and descend structures up to approximately 200 feet and remain physically capable after climbing
- Ability to perform significant physical exertion, including climbing stairs and ladders, carrying heavy equipment, working at heights, and potentially working in confined spaces
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
