Key responsibilities & impact- Build and own CI/CD and test-automation infrastructure for embedded motor-control products
- Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines covering builds, static analysis, unit tests, integration tests, artifact management, and releases
- Automate cross-compiled embedded-target build toolchains and maintain reproducible builds across developer machines and CI runners
- Establish and maintain test-automation infrastructure, including unit testing and hardware-in-the-loop test rigs where applicable
- Integrate static analysis, code-quality, and coverage tools into pipelines and make results visible to the team
- Manage artifact versioning, release packaging, and traceability from source to deployed firmware
- Improve build and test speed, reliability, and developer feedback loops
- Document pipeline and test infrastructure
- Collaborate with firmware engineers to improve code testability and triage pipeline and test failures
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or related engineering field
- 3+ years experience in Embedded Software Development
- Proven experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, such as GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or similar
- Hands-on experience with test-automation tools and frameworks
- Strong scripting skills, such as Python and Bash
- Experience with version control using Git and branching/release workflows
- Experience building CI/CD for embedded software, or familiarity with embedded software development, including cross-compilation, toolchains, flashing, and debugging target hardware
- Solid troubleshooting skills across the software/hardware boundary
- Must be legally authorized to work in the US
- Experience building CI/CD or test automation for embedded/firmware projects with hardware-in-the-loop testing — Preferred
- Familiarity with Texas Instruments C2000, Cortex-M85, C29x DSP microcontrollers and Code Composer Studio — Preferred
- Familiarity with EtherCAT and EtherNet or other industrial fieldbus/real-time communication — Preferred
- Experience with Docker and infrastructure-as-code — Preferred
- Exposure to functional-safety or regulated-industry development processes and traceability — Preferred
- Experience with static analysis and coverage tooling for C/C++ — Preferred
