About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support verification of greenhouse gas inventories and emissions reporting at the corporate and entity level
- Review emissions data and supporting documentation
- Verify emission quantification methodologies
- Conduct site visits, including interviews with project personnel, site reconnaissance, and evaluation of measurement practices
- Prepare verification findings and audit reports
- Oversee work of contract auditors/consultants
- Lead and coordinate audit processes with clients
- Ensure clients provide necessary data and information
- Respond to client questions and concerns
- Manage a complex and diverse portfolio of audits concurrently
- Maintain working knowledge of program standards and protocols
- Recommend and implement program changes to maintain compliance with ISO quality standards and scheme requirements
- Participate in internal and external audits
- Lead development of quality templates
- Participate in training staff and contract auditors/consultants
- Support development of program training materials
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Data Science, or a relevant scientific field
- 4+ years of professional experience in a related field
- Experience in auditing
- Exceptional quantitative and critical thinking skills for evaluating complex data sets (Advanced proficiency)
- Excellent writing, communication, and organizational skills (Advanced proficiency)
- Initiative and ability to work independently; responsive and adaptive to team environment
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Access
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally to conduct audits
- Master's Degree or higher in a relevant scientific field and 2+ years of professional experience in a related field (preferred)
- Multilingual (preferred)
- Advanced Excel proficiency and experience using data management systems (preferred)
- CARB MRR Lead Verifier (preferred)
