Key responsibilities & impact- Research and develop algorithms for detection, localization, tracking, classification, and acoustic signal processing
- Turn research ideas into production-quality Python implementations
- Design experiments and evaluation methods to measure algorithm performance
- Analyze recordings, telemetry, simulations, and field-test data to identify problems and opportunities

- Participate in lab and field tests and use real-world results to improve performance

Requirements
What you’ll need- Strong background in signal processing, applied mathematics, physics, electrical engineering, or a related field
- Strong Python programming ability
- Experience developing and validating algorithms using real data
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills
- Ability to move from theoretical ideas to working implementations
- Ability to design experiments, define performance metrics, and analyze results
- Strong independent problem-solving and research skills
- Preferred: Digital signal processing, array processing, beamforming, or direction-of-arrival estimation
- Preferred: Machine learning, classification, tracking, or estimation
- Preferred: Acoustic or audio signal processing
- Preferred: NumPy, SciPy, PyTorch/TensorFlow, or similar scientific tools
- Preferred: Real-time or performance-sensitive algorithm development
- Preferred: NVIDIA Jetson, GPU, or CUDA experience
- Preferred: Sensors, robotics, radar, computer vision, defense systems, or similar domains
- Preferred: Experience conducting field experiments and working with imperfect real-world data
