About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide on-site assistance with electrical systems, including installations, testing, and troubleshooting for voltages from 480V to 600kV
- Work in data centers maintaining and testing electrical systems critical to operations
- Conduct routine maintenance and inspections, including transformer and relay tests
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues involving switchgear, circuit breakers, and relay calibration
- Maintain professional client relationships, address inquiries, and provide expert support
- Respond to emergency calls in a timely manner
- Keep detailed records of service activities, client feedback, and necessary product modifications
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on continuous improvement and innovation projects
Requirements
What you’ll need- Prefer an Associate’s degree from an accredited 2-year technical college in Electrical Power & Controls (EPC) or related field
- Relevant experience performing switchgear testing and troubleshooting is an asset
- Good PC skills, including email, internet, data entry, and Microsoft Excel
- PowerDB experience is a plus
- Must be able to work safely and adhere to all electrical safety procedures
- Must be able to drive daily locally/regionally
- Must be available for periodic overnight travel
