Key responsibilities & impact- Own email design end to end, including lifecycle and automated flows, campaigns, newsletters, and transactional emails
- Partner with the content team on structure, hierarchy, and the relationship between copy and visuals
- Work with the design team to align email with the brand system and extend it through email components and templates
- Build modular, reusable templates
- Design for mobile-first rendering, dark mode, and different email clients
- Use open rates, click-through rates, and conversion data to shape designs and run tests
- Ship initial versions quickly and iterate based on information
- Give and receive direct feedback
- Support marketing campaigns and product moments beyond email when needed
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3–6+ years of design experience across brand, digital, product, or a combination, with a strong focus on digital
- Portfolio showing product screens, campaign work, web design, and pieces outside digital marketing
- Strong fundamentals in typography, layout, color, hierarchy, and interaction design
- Understanding of how email renders across clients and devices
- Comfort with ambiguity and context-switching
- Speed and craft
- Proficiency in Figma
- Self-directed and proactive
- Genuine care about health, wellness, or human performance
- HTML/CSS email coding is nice to have
- Familiarity with Klaviyo, Customer.io, Braze or similar is nice to have
- Lifecycle or CRM design work with results to show is nice to have
- Motion, GIF or video skills are nice to have
- Early-stage startup experience is nice to have
- Health, wellness or mission-driven background is nice to have
- Portfolio URL including email or lifecycle design examples required for application
