Key responsibilities & impact- Support the mission of USSTRATCOM through information systems security engineering
- Provide 24/7 IT services and network support for NIPRNet, SIPRNet, JWICS, and SAP/SAR environments
- Design secure architectures for enterprise systems, applications, and cloud platforms
- Perform cyber forensics, intrusion detection, threat analysis, incident response, and vulnerability assessment
- Apply system security, network security, cryptography, secure architectures, firewalls, and DevSecOps practices
- Develop secure code and automate security workflows using Java, C++, and Python
- Apply cloud security, virtualization, identity management, and security compliance frameworks
Requirements
What you’ll need- Active TS or higher security clearance
- BA/BS or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of cybersecurity engineering, information assurance, or security architecture experience
- ITIL Foundations v4 Certificate or ability to obtain within 9 months
- Current/active Top Secret clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI status
- Experience with cyber forensics, intrusion detection, incident response, and vulnerability assessment tools
- Strong technical background in system security, network security, cryptography, secure architectures, firewalls, and DevSecOps environments
- Proficiency in Java, C++, and Python, including secure coding and automation
- Familiarity with AWS, Azure, GCP security, virtualization, identity management, and security compliance frameworks
- Experience designing secure architectures for enterprise systems, applications, and cloud platforms
- Strong problem-solving, communication, documentation, analytical skills, and attention to detail
- Preferred: experience or knowledge of systems engineering, systems security engineering, and system life-cycle processes
- Preferred: Terraform and virtualized environments
- Preferred: certifications such as CISSP, CISSP-ISSEP, GIAC, CEH, or equivalent advanced cybersecurity credentials
