Key responsibilities & impact- Support the USSTRATCOM mission through information systems security engineering
- Provide security engineering for 24/7 IT services and network support across NIPRNet, SIPRNet, JWICS, and SAP/SAR environments
- Apply cyber forensics, intrusion detection, incident response, threat analysis, and vulnerability assessment
- Design secure architectures for enterprise systems, applications, and cloud platforms
- Support system, network, cloud, identity, cryptography, firewall, DevSecOps, virtualization, and compliance security activities
- Develop secure code and automate security workflows using Java, C++, and Python
- Work with security tools including Splunk, Nessus, Wireshark, Nmap, and AWS/Azure/GCP security suites
Requirements
What you’ll need- Active TS or higher security clearance
- BA/BS or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of cybersecurity engineering, information assurance, or security architecture experience
- ITIL Foundations v4 Certificate or ability to obtain within 9 months
- Current/active Top Secret clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI status
- Experience with cyber forensics, intrusion detection, incident response, and vulnerability assessment tools
- Strong technical background in system security, network security, cryptography, secure architectures, firewalls, and DevSecOps environments
- Proficiency in Java, C++, and Python, including secure coding and automation
- Familiarity with AWS, Azure, GCP, virtualization, identity management, security compliance frameworks, and infrastructure as code such as Terraform
- Experience designing secure architectures for enterprise systems, applications, and cloud platforms
- Preferred: CISSP-ISSEP, ASEP, GIAC, GCIH, CEH, CISSP, or equivalent advanced cybersecurity credentials
- Strong problem-solving, communication, documentation, analytical, and attention-to-detail skills
