Key responsibilities & impact

Provide support to persons served in Vinfen settings
Teach skills that enhance independence and quality of life
Assist in developing, implementing, and documenting individual treatment support plans
Perform rehabilitative and behavioral interventions and monitoring
Schedule appointments and monitor progress
Provide transportation and related support
Act as a role model and support community integration

Perform crisis intervention as needed

Requirements

What you’ll need

A high school diploma or equivalent is required
Valid driver's license required at the time of employment if driving for Vinfen
At least 21 years of age if driving
Maintained a valid US driver's license for at least six months if driving
Ability to pass a driver’s screening background check if driving
Safe driving record if driving
Adequate insurance if using a personal vehicle
Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, and climb
Ability to lift at least 25 pounds using proper lifting techniques or a two-person lift
Ability to operate a computer, calculator, copier, and printer
Ability to sit, reach, climb stairs, and maneuver through narrow spaces or hallways
Ability to assist clients with tasks of daily living
Ability to speak, hear, and communicate with clients, staff, and external representatives
Required close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth vision, and ability to adjust focus
First Aid certification required within two weeks of hire
CPR certification required within two weeks of hire
MAP certification required within 150 days of hire
Safety Care certification required within 90 days of hire
Knowledge and use of advocacy, communication, empowerment, self-advocacy, crisis intervention, physical personal management, and household management skills
Sensitivity to cultural, religious, racial, disability, and gender issues
Teaching skills
Ability to document interventions
Ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team
Ability to provide role model behaviors
