About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead field-based technical execution of Electrification Solutions projects.
- Ensure safety, quality, customer satisfaction, and fulfillment of contractual commitments on schedule and within budget.
- Lead the project team and establish the project execution approach.
- Oversee planning, monitoring, and control activities for internal and external resources.
- Monitor and control project progress, resource utilization, and project financials.
- Identify, qualify, quantify, and manage project risks and pursue opportunities.
- Drive formal project acceptance, contract close-out, and customer acknowledgment according to the contract.
- Travel to customer sites, project locations, and ABB facilities as needed.
- Report to the Project Operations Manager.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Demonstrated commitment to safety leadership and zero-incident culture.
- 8+ years of construction/field experience, preferably with electrical systems background.
- Completion of 2 years of trade school, college, or equivalent journeyman experience.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, submittals, specifications, and one-line diagrams.
- Working knowledge of ATS, UPS, and switchgear systems, with exposure to commissioning and EPMS/SCADA concepts.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability for creative issue resolution.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
- Proven experience managing subcontractors, trade labor, and multi-discipline field teams.
- Willingness to travel 50% and as required.
