Key responsibilities & impact- Lead customer-facing Grid Software projects from initiation through final acceptance and transition to support
- Serve as the primary delivery contact for customers
- Build trusted customer relationships and align stakeholders around project objectives and outcomes
- Manage project scope, schedule, budget, quality, risks, issues, and change requests
- Develop and maintain integrated project plans
- Proactively manage milestones, dependencies, resource needs, and customer obligations
- Drive project financial performance, including forecasting, margin management, billing readiness, and cash flow optimization
- Lead cross-functional, matrixed teams across software development, engineering, product management, cybersecurity, quality, services, and partner organizations
- Establish effective governance
- Provide executive-level project reporting
- Facilitate timely decision-making and issue resolution
- Ensure successful testing, customer acceptance, deployment, and transition activities
- Apply Lean, Agile, and continuous improvement principles to enhance project execution, delivery efficiency, and customer outcomes
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 10+ years of project or program management experience leading customer-facing software, technology, systems integration, or digital solution implementations
- 5+ years of experience managing multiple project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, risk, quality, governance, and executive stakeholder communications
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and influencing stakeholders in complex, matrixed environments
- Strong communication, problem-solving, negotiation, and decision-making skills
- Working knowledge of Agile, Scrum, and traditional project delivery methodologies
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- PMP, PMI-ACP, Certified ScrumMaster, or equivalent project management certification preferred
- Master's degree in a related discipline preferred
- Experience delivering software solutions within the electric utility, energy, or critical infrastructure industries preferred
- Knowledge of utility operations and grid applications such as SCADA, EMS, ADMS, OMS, or related technologies preferred
- Experience managing customer contracts, change orders, commercial terms, and financial performance preferred
- Experience with large-scale enterprise software implementations or systems integration projects preferred
- Experience leading global or geographically distributed project teams preferred
- Proficiency with project planning, collaboration, reporting, and financial management tools preferred
- Demonstrated success driving customer adoption, operational outcomes, and long-term customer relationships preferred
