About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the business management function for the growing hedge fund business
- Oversee the trade order entry process for hedge fund and affiliated strategies
- Develop and maintain procedures to ensure clean orders are received by the trading desk
- Coordinate implementation of complex transactions across internal and external parties, including private equity transactions and complex derivatives trades
- Lead a team of 3 to 5 Portfolio Implementation Specialists/Portfolio Management Assistants
- Set clear performance expectations and conduct regular evaluations
- Represent the investment team in cross-functional change initiatives, including client onboarding, offboarding, maintenance, product implementations, and system implementations
- Partner with Compliance, Legal, Middle Office Operations, Products, Tax, Accounting, Reporting, and Performance
- Lead or participate in ad hoc projects supporting portfolio management and portfolio implementation processes, including process automation
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- Experience in the asset management industry
- Experience with equities and derivatives
- Equity hedge fund experience strongly preferred
- Experience using investment technology systems such as Bloomberg, Aladdin, accounting systems, and attribution systems
- Experience leading high-performing teams
- Ability to influence and collaborate with business partners at all levels
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently with limited direction
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects effectively at the same time
- Valid work authorization that does not now or in the future require visa sponsorship for employment in the United States
