Key responsibilities & impact- Own specific areas of Azul Intelligence Cloud, Azul Optimizer Hub, and Payara InSight alongside other product managers
- Own strategy, roadmap, pricing, market positioning, and business results for assigned product areas
- Set multi-year product direction, target segments, build-versus-partner decisions, and product composition
- Report to the VP of Product Management and work directly with the CPO, CEO, CRO, and CTO
- Present strategy, roadmap, and pricing decisions to the leadership team and defend them with data
- Translate strategy into sequenced roadmaps and make product trade-offs explicit
- Build alignment across engineering, sales, and marketing
- Communicate roadmaps internally and to customers and manage scope
- Shape pricing, packaging, and metering for Intelligence Cloud, Optimizer Hub, and Payara InSight
- Work with engineering in sprints, design reviews, and implementation trade-offs
- Run customer requirement sessions and direct UX/UI work
- Guide the operator experience for installing, sizing, and running Optimizer Hub on Kubernetes
- Own customer-facing technical documentation and knowledge base content
- Deliver product demonstrations and evaluate usability
- Partner with marketing on positioning, launches, sales enablement, and public-facing content
- Join customer and prospect calls, support deals, handle escalations, and conduct competitive and market research
- Ensure product messaging resonates with developers, platform teams, and executive buyers
- Define, instrument, report, and improve metrics including sales, pipeline generation, pilot-to-production conversion, adoption, and retention
- Lead through clarity, evidence, and influence as an individual contributor without direct reports
Requirements
What you’ll need- 8+ years in product management, including several years owning a product or product line end to end — strategy through launch through revenue
- Track record shipping enterprise SaaS in an adjacent market: application performance monitoring, application security, observability, optimization, systems management, or log analytics
- Fluency with AI tools and experience operating in an AI-first product management organization
- Deep technical fluency, including ability to read architecture diagrams and follow engineering debates
- Demonstrated ownership of pricing and packaging for a technical product
- Understanding of DevOps engineers, platform engineers, and developers as key influencers in enterprise sales cycles
- Strong domain knowledge of public cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) and Kubernetes
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English
- Comfortable in a fully remote, async, multi-time-zone setup
- Self-directed and a strong writer
- Comfortable in a startup-shaped environment
- Hands-on software or quality engineering background (nice to have)
- Experience with open source communities (nice to have)
- Familiarity with cloud cost optimization (nice to have)
- Experience taking a new product from early traction to a durable revenue line (nice to have)
- Working knowledge of Java and Java development tooling (nice to have)
- Familiarity with Jakarta EE application servers and OpenTelemetry (nice to have)
- Experience working across more than one product at once (nice to have)
- Experience with infrastructure software that customers deploy and operate themselves (nice to have)
