Key responsibilities & impact- Perform general ledger operations for cash and treasury reconciliations, accounts receivable transactions, and fixed asset activity
- Execute payroll processes, prepayments, accruals, and record revenue and expenses accurately
- Report monthly and quarterly financial information including Profit and Loss statements, Balance Sheets, VAT, CIT, and other packages
- Calculate and post journal entries
- Prepare VAT data and CIT templates
- Conduct monthly and quarterly balance sheet reconciliations
- Collaborate with consultants on statutory financial statements
- Deliver data and explanations for internal and external auditors
- Run PA reports and other schedules for financial analysis
- Engage in continuous improvement processes to optimize financial operations
- Support Biogen’s LATAM Affiliates and global business services operations
Requirements
What you’ll need- University degree in Finance (preferred in Accountancy area)
- Additional qualifications in accounting (ACCA/CIMA exams preferred, National Association of Accountants)
- 4+ years of experience in international accounting
- Experience in working for SSC/BPO required
- Good understanding of AP/AR/CM/FA processes
- Proficiency in Oracle R12
- Strong knowledge of MS Office package (Outlook, Excel)
- Experience in Continuous Improvement
- Ability to communicate orally and in writing in English and Spanish required
- Experience collaborating with consultants for statutory financial statements preparation
- Proven ability to provide detailed data and explanations for auditors
- Familiarity with running PA reports and financial schedules for analysis
- Holder of a work permit and residency in Poland
