About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support development and operations of New Glenn, Blue Origin’s reusable heavy-lift orbital launch vehicle
- Lead execution of customer-contracted scope, from compliance with customer specifications through technical product development and delivery
- Manage NSSL project resources, schedules, and labor/non-labor budgets to achieve business goals and maintain customer satisfaction
- Collaborate with technical engineering teams and support organizations to integrate and execute customer requirements and deliverables
- Lead customer-facing technical meetings and reviews, including site visits and tours
- Integrate U.S. government stakeholders into Blue Origin’s business rhythm
- Support business development opportunities for new and existing customers leading to new or follow-on services
- Travel up to 10% of the time
Requirements
What you’ll need- B.S. in an engineering field
- 5+ years managing complex, multidisciplinary, fast-paced programs/projects
- 3+ years of industry experience with launch systems or satellite operations
- Ability to travel within the U.S. and abroad
- Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident/current Green Card holder, or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum
- Top Secret clearance with current SSBI and SCI eligibility preferred
- Experience with launch vehicle development and certification preferred
- Experience working with government customers preferred
- Technical assessment required during interviews
- Blue’s Standard Background Check required
- DBIDS background check may be required if the role requires work on a military installation
