About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own the roadmap for multiple systems and advocate for end-user needs
- Define and execute roadmaps for features and functionality
- Communicate roadmaps and plans to management and the broader company
- Work with multiple teams to define and implement new manufacturing processes through iterative software delivery
- Perform analytics on data to drive business decisions and product iteration
- Anticipate business needs through proposals and system solutions
- Develop the vision, strategy, roadmap, and delivery of systems supporting complex product manufacturing, testing, and operational procedures
- Bring a software development perspective to aerospace manufacturing systems
- Help shape the future of Blue Origin’s Product organization
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3+ years as a product manager, engineering manager, or similar role
- 2+ years working in configuration-focused manufacturing or design engineering roles
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with proven ability to leverage data in decision-making
- Experience working hands-on with software engineering teams as a product manager, engineering manager, or similar role
- Experience with lean and agile software development methodology
- Demonstrated history of becoming an expert in an unfamiliar domain
- Intense curiosity about business details and continuous improvement
- Outstanding organizational and analytical skills
- Proven ability to drive sophisticated projects with minimal oversight
- Strong written and verbal interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with the user base
- Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to an inclusive culture
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident/current Green Card holder, or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum
- Experience with 3D CAD, data management, and configuration management is desired
- Experience with aerospace manufacturing, procurement, and quality systems is desired
- Blue’s Standard Background Check required for all positions
