About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Execute product strategy and roadmaps for assigned lines of business
- Contribute to long-term product vision through execution learnings and market insights
- Manage day-to-day product operations, including benefit design implementation, rate execution, and product configuration
- Gather and synthesize market intelligence, competitive insights, and customer feedback
- Analyze product performance, market trends, and competitive positioning
- Identify emerging market needs and translate them into actionable product requirements
- Provide data-driven recommendations to senior product leadership on strategic opportunities and threats
- Partner with actuarial, underwriting, sales, operations, and compliance teams
- Lead cross-functional teams through product changes, implementations, and issue resolution
- Facilitate stakeholder alignment and escalate strategic issues and conflicts appropriately
- Consult on vendor evaluations and solution assessments
- Serve as product expert and primary point of contact for assigned lines of business
- Represent the product perspective in cross-functional planning and decision-making
- Communicate product changes, requirements, timelines, performance reports, and recommendations across the organization and to leadership
- Build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field required; MBA preferred
- 6+ years in healthcare product management
- Experience managing products through the full lifecycle
- Strong knowledge of commercial health insurance products and market dynamics
- Demonstrated ability to execute product strategy and deliver measurable business results
- Proven ability to translate business requirements into actionable product plans
- Strong analytical skills and ability to synthesize complex data into clear insights and recommendations
- Financial acumen, including pricing, profitability, and business case development
- Ability to use metrics for data-driven decision-making
- Ability to identify issues, assess risks, and develop mitigation strategies
- Ability to make sound decisions with incomplete information
- Ability to work effectively across functions without formal authority
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- Ability to facilitate cross-functional collaboration and drive alignment
- Diplomatic negotiation skills and ability to resolve issues and conflicts constructively
- Ability to influence outcomes through data, logic, and relationship-building
- Relevant licensure/certifications and performance history may be considered in compensation
