About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Coordinate complex shipment scheduling, carrier bookings, and freight documentation across assigned transportation lanes
- Resolve carrier service issues, delivery exceptions, and freight discrepancies
- Monitor shipment status, transit performance, and delivery commitments
- Maintain accurate, audit-ready logistics records including bills of lading, proof of delivery, carrier correspondence, and freight cost documentation
- Compile operational performance data, shipment activity summaries, and carrier scorecard inputs
- Support logistics reporting and continuous service improvement initiatives
- Guide junior operators through procedural coaching, documentation standards reinforcement, and knowledge sharing
- Identify recurring operational gaps and support process improvement initiatives
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience required
- 3+ years of experience in logistics operations, transportation coordination, shipment tracking, customer service operations, or a related field required
- Associate's degree in logistics, supply chain, transportation, business administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience preferred
- Certification in Certified Supply Chain Professional, Certified Logistics, Transportation and Distribution, Certified in Planning and Inventory Management, or equivalent certification preferred
- Working knowledge of transportation systems, logistics procedures, and service level requirements
