About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist the manager with all aspects of store operations
- Provide work direction, training and assistance to less experienced team members
- Provide excellent customer service and assist customers with inventory and checkout
- Perform cashier responsibilities, including accepting payments and issuing receipts
- Display and organize products
- Maintain store appearance through dusting, cleaning and restocking merchandise
- Order merchandise and track inventory
- Monitor customers for loss prevention
- Prepare displays and promotions
- Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow safety policies, training, PPE procedures and regulations
- Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance with unsafe actions or conditions
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3+ years of experience in Retail and/or Retail Merchandising and Customer Service
- Proficient in MS Office suite
- Ability to read, write and communicate in English to customers and coworkers
- Basic math and computer skills to operate store equipment, including cash register and time and record keeping computer systems
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Ability to work flexible hours preferred
- Selected candidates may be required to pass pre-employment screenings, including drug, criminal, motor vehicle check, physical requirements and FMSCA Clearinghouse screenings
