Key responsibilities & impact- Build and operate internal software supporting Collectors' grading and authentication operations
- Use AI tooling, preferably Claude, across software design, architecture, and implementation while owning shipped quality
- Build backend services, RESTful APIs, and data models for internal grading and authentication applications
- Work across containerized .NET applications, serverless APIs, and Python background processing jobs
- Design and implement event-driven and asynchronous systems for reliable high-volume operational data flow
- Develop frontend features using JavaScript, TypeScript, and Vue.js
- Collaborate with Product, Technology, and Operations teams to translate business requirements into technical designs
- Troubleshoot data, integration, service, and user-interface issues across a large codebase
- Participate in an on-call rotation
- Contribute technical documentation and improve system design, code quality, observability, and engineering practices
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of software engineering experience building production applications, with substantial backend experience and some frontend delivery experience
- 3+ years of experience or strong proficiency in C# and .NET
- Routine use of AI tooling, preferably Claude, with judgment to review and own its output
- Experience designing and building RESTful APIs and service integrations
- Experience defining module boundaries and determining when capabilities warrant separate services
- Experience writing and maintaining automated tests for production services
- Strong relational database and data modeling fundamentals, such as SQL Server or PostgreSQL
- Hands-on experience operating cloud production services, including Docker, Kubernetes or ECS, serverless compute behind an API gateway, and managed messaging and data stores
- Hands-on experience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and a component-based frontend framework
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code such as Terraform or CloudFormation, and monitoring/observability tools such as CloudWatch or Datadog
- Strong communication, troubleshooting, and technical documentation skills
- Experience translating complex Product and Operations requirements into extensible systems
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Nice to have: asynchronous, event-driven, and distributed systems experience
- Nice to have: AWS, Python, pytest or unittest, Apache Kafka, DynamoDB, or Vue.js experience
- Nice to have: high-volume workflow optimization experience
