About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Threat model OT systems and environments across the fleet, including SCADA platforms, BMS and EPMS, cooling and power systems, and sensor networks
- Design architecture and segmentation for gigawatt-scale OT estates, including network zones, remote access paths, and the IT/OT boundary
- Forward-deploy with controls engineering to secure operational deployments, including PLC code pipelines, virtualized controllers, and SCADA layers
- Advise power, controls, commissioning, and site teams as new capacity energizes
- Work with detection and response teams to tune OT detection coverage
- Respond with incident responders when attacks reach OT infrastructure
- Lead hardware OEM engagements on product security requirements, firmware security, tamper evidence, and counterfeit detection
- Build and own security programs across physical and logical infrastructure
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience securing substations, SCADA, or controls systems in production
- Experience with Ignition or comparable platforms, PLCs, relays, and industrial protocols
- Experience threat modeling OT environments and implementing segmentation and controls
- Knowledge of the Purdue Model
- Hands-on experience with OT security tooling such as Claroty, Nozomi, or Dragos
- Knowledge of BMS, EPMS, and cooling systems
- Experience advancing security through consultation and design review with engineering teams
- Bonus: NERC CIP or IEC 62443 expertise
- Bonus: Experience securing virtualized or containerized industrial control systems
- Bonus: Commissioning-phase security experience at construction sites
