Key responsibilities & impact- Support Production Leads, Supervisors, and Managers with daily management of production activities
- Assist in leading employees within an area of responsibility across various processes and operations
- Assist with training and development of production team members
- Work with operations and cross-functional teams to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve production challenges
- Manage MRO inventories and requisition shop supplies and tools
- Identify improvements to standard production work processes and coordinate implementation with the Training Support Coordinator
- Evaluate parts demand and coordinate delivery
- Manage and close NCRs with appropriate team members
- Initiate corrective actions when appropriate
- Research missing parts; investigate, cycle count, reconcile, and disposition inventory
- Work with warehouse and purchasing staff to resolve parts shortages and discrepancies
- Investigate work order and inventory discrepancies, determine root causes, and recommend corrective actions
- Assist material handlers with daily tasks
- Support continuous improvement projects
- Perform other assigned projects and duties
- Communicate effectively with people at various organizational levels
Requirements
What you’ll need- Previous manufacturing experience
- Knowledge and experience in ERP or MRP business systems
- Good analytical, interpersonal, and problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to work effectively in a team setting
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Good organization and follow-up skills
- Experience using small hand and power tools
- Basic to intermediate computer skills
- High School diploma, GED, or combination of work experience and skill development
- Must be able to understand and follow verbal and written instructions in English
- Ideally able to read and interpret drawings, bills of materials, and work instructions
- Ideally experience with the JD Edwards business system
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds occasionally with assistance and up to 40 pounds frequently
- Ability to perform frequent bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, and lifting
- Ability to perform continuous standing, walking, gripping, manipulation, and fingering
- Ability to perform frequent variable hand/power tool use
- Ability to perform two-person lifting, pulling, and pushing tasks using assistive devices
