About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design and develop mechanical systems, components, and assemblies in accordance with project requirements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define mechanical requirements and specifications
- Perform mechanical analysis and simulations to ensure product performance and reliability
- Document and present analytical results in design reviews and technical reports
- Report to the Director of Engineering
- Design cutting-edge mechanical solutions for Honeywell Aerospace's aviation and defense products
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelors degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
- Minimum 2 years of engineering experience in turbine engines or electric motor/generator applications
- Bachelors in mechanical engineering or aerospace engineering
- Understanding and application of disciplines in high speed machinery, including bearings, gears and splines, air and oil seals, or lubrication systems
- Familiarity with mechanical systems for gas turbine engines or electric motors/generators
- Strong oral, written and persuasive communication skills
- Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to work under minimal supervision and complete tasks in a timely manner
- Ability to manage many priorities and competing demands
- Must be a U.S. person: U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status
